By the early 50\u2019s he worked his way up as a costumer, the profession that would be part of the next 40 years of his life. During this time, he worked on the sets of numerous films<\/p>\n<p>with many iconic actors including, Marlon Brando in \u201cThe Young Lions\u201d and \u201cApocolypse Now\u201d, Elvis Presley in \u201cLove Me Tender\u201d, and John Wayne in \u201cRio Bravo\u201d, to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>During the 1970\u2019s motion picture studios began selling off \u201csurplus\u201d departments within their companies, including entire wardrobe departments. <em>Mr. James<\/em> at that point highly experienced in his craft, decided to seize the opportunity and in 1978 he and Breanna\u2019s father, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easterncostume.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>James Livi<\/em><\/strong>e<\/a>, purchased a large inventory of wardrobe from various studios and the <em>Costume Rentals Corporation<\/em> (CRC), which was one of the first independent motion picture costume companies. In 1990, prompted by the success of CRC, <em>James Livie<\/em> started <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easterncostume.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>Eastern Costume Company<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, and both costume houses continue to operate today.<\/p>\n<p>Having gained her own extensive experience and familiarity with wardrobe and prop departments through her family, Breanna founded &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thegoldencloset.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>The Golden Closet<\/em><\/strong><\/a>&#8221; in 1996.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Golden Closet<\/em> specializes in screen used costumes and memorabilia from both classic and current films in the movie industry.<\/p>\n<p>I had the pleasure of visiting both Breanna and her team at <em>The Golden Closet<\/em>, as well as her father, <em>Jim Livie<\/em> and his company, <em>Eastern Costume<\/em>, a short time ago.<\/p>\n<p><em>Breanna<\/em> and her dad shared behind the scene information and stories about both companies for<em> Movie Prop Collectors<\/em> readers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 150px;\"><object width=\"640\" height=\"360\" classid=\"clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000\" codebase=\"http:\/\/download.macromedia.com\/pub\/shockwave\/cabs\/flash\/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0\"><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"src\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/6Jtd2-EHNCA?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0&amp;hd=1\" \/><param name=\"allowfullscreen\" value=\"true\" \/><embed width=\"640\" height=\"360\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/6Jtd2-EHNCA?version=3&amp;hl=en_US&amp;rel=0&amp;hd=1\" allowFullScreen=\"true\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" \/><\/object><\/p>\n<p>This is Part 1 of a 2 part interview I did with <em>Breanna<\/em> and LA artist, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jamesgeorgopoulos.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>James Georgopoulos<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. <em>Breanna<\/em> and <em>James<\/em> joined forces to bring together the fields of movie memorabilia and contemporary art in a collection entitled, &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/theartreserve.com\/guns-of-cinema-at-the-art-district\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>Guns in Cinema<\/em><\/strong><\/a>&#8220;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>Guns in Cinema<\/em>&#8221; fuses the original guns from motion pictures that <em>Breanna&#8217;s<\/em>, &#8220;<em>The Golden Closet<\/em>&#8221; has access to, and sells, to fans, with <em>James<\/em> creativity for an entirely original blend of pop culture and contemporary art.<\/p>\n<p>Part 2 will be featured December 1st, and the 3rd installment of this video series will conclude with interviews with <em>Breanna<\/em> and <em>Jim Livie<\/em> and a tour of<em> Eastern Costume<\/em>.<\/p>\n<iframe id=\"basic_facebook_social_plugins_likebutton\" src=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/like.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.moviepropcollectors.com%2Fmagazine%2Fbreanna-livie-movie-guns-from-scarface-born-this-way-more%2F&amp;layout=standard&amp;show_faces=false&amp;width=&amp;action=like&amp;font=arial&amp;colorscheme=light\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" style=\"border:none; overflow:hidden; width:px; height:25px\"><\/iframe>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Breanna Livie &amp; her family has been involved in the Hollywood movie business most of their lives.
