a.m.\u00a0after attending the unbelievable, once in a lifetime, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.profilesinhistory.com\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>Debbie Reynolds Collection<\/em><\/strong><\/a> auction held by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ProfilesinHistory.com\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>Profiles in History<\/em><\/strong><\/a> at <em>The Paley Center for Media.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Excited fans\u00a0both of\u00a0<strong><em>Debbie Reynolds<\/em><\/strong> and\u00a0the Hollywood history she\u00a0archived over 40 years started lining up to get in\u00a0the Paley Center at 8:30 am !<\/p>\n<p>The line went around the corner of the <em>Paley<\/em> and the few\u00a0last minute bidders hurried to register\u00a0to try to get a seat in the\u00a0packed\u00a0auction.<\/p>\n<p>There were two floors of bidders live, as well as phone bidders and internet bidder from around the world vying for a part of <em>Miss Reynolds<\/em> historic collection of costumes, props, and artwork from Hollywood most beloved films.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><em>The auction broke records in\u00a0the amount sold for any memorabilia auction of it&#8217;s kind\u00a0with approximately $22.8 million dollars in sales<\/em><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>One of the highlights of the event was the heartfelt greeting Debbie gave to auction attendees which <a href=\"http:\/\/www.MoviePropCollectors.com\" target=\"_blank\"><strong><em>Movie Prop Collectors<\/em><\/strong><\/a> was able to document.<\/p>\n<p>The famed Marilyn Monroe white subway dress from The Seven Year Itch sold for an astounding $4.6 million dollars, and that was not including the additional 20% bidders premium !<\/p>\n<p>Here are some highlights of the prices
