<\/a>Entertainment and Historical Document auction house, Profiles in History<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, held their Hollywood Auction #65<\/em> <\/strong><\/a>and The Expendables (auction #67<\/em> ) and Narnia Auctions (auction #68<\/em>),<\/strong><\/a> recently in Calabasas, CA.<\/p>\nThe auction total for all three auctions was an impressive $7,640,960.00<\/p>\n
The total for Hollywood #65<\/em>, including buyer’s premium was $7,143,438.25 & for The Expendables\/Narnia<\/em> items, the total was close to half a million dollars at $497,521.75.<\/p>\n There were 2,238 lots (1798 for the Hollywood<\/em> Auction 65<\/em>, and 440 lots for The Expendables<\/em> and Narnia<\/em> items, featured in a separate auction catalog). The majority of the lots sold with over 75% of 1798 lots selling for the Hollywood Auction#65<\/em>, 98% of the 187 Narnia<\/em> lots selling, and 52% sold for the 164 Expendables<\/em> items.\u00a0 The auction lots consisted of vintage Hollywood photographs, autographs, original props, costumes, art, and ephemera from many recognizable and popular Hollywood films, television shows, and entertainers.<\/p>\n Highlight\u2019s of the auction lots sold include:<\/p>\n Lot# 699<\/strong><\/span>: Screen-used hero \u201cNautilus\u201d undersea rifle from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. Est: $20,000 – $30,000. Sold for $80,000<\/strong><\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n Lot# 836<\/span><\/strong><\/span>:<\/strong>Orson Welles \u201cKane\u201d signature \u201cPodium\u201d jacket from “citizen Kane”. Est: $60,000 – $80,000. Sold for $85,000<\/strong><\/em><\/span>.<\/p>\n Lot #939<\/strong><\/span>: Marilyn Monroe Collection of (8) negatives and transparencies: Est: $200-$200.
