\"HalloweenPoster\"<\/a>On Wednesday, October 1st at the Egyptian Theater<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, CA, Beyond Fest<\/em><\/strong><\/a> & American Cinematheque<\/em><\/strong><\/a> screened the 1978 John Carpenter<\/em> <\/strong><\/a>classic, “Halloween<\/em><\/strong><\/a>“, remastered in 4K. Before the films special panel and screening, Beyond Fest’s<\/em>, Christian Parks<\/em> & American Cinematheque’s, Grant Moninger,<\/em> thanked theater attendees and also gave out a few cool horror themed Blu Rays<\/em> to audience members who answered a few easy trivia questions. Way to go Christian & Grant! <\/em><\/p>\n

Grant then introduced journalist and panel discussion moderator, Geoff Boucher<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. Geoff<\/em> held an informative and interesting Q & A with “Halloween”<\/em> director and screenwriter, John Carpenter<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, and Halloween<\/em> star and author, Jamie Lee Curtis<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. Geoff<\/em> was kind enough to also take questions from the audience for John<\/em> and Jamie Lee<\/em> as well.<\/p>\n

During the panel, Jamie Lee and John <\/em> shared with fans their memories and experiences while working on the film, answered audience questions, and presented a cool replica Halloween Mask<\/em> which was signed by the the majority of cast and crew from the movie. Jamie Lee<\/em> mentioned the mask would be auctioned at a later date to benefit American Cinematheque<\/em> and also gave a shout out Convention All Stars<\/em><\/strong><\/a> CEO, Sean Clark<\/em> on how she initially became involved with her first and only horror convention appearance<\/em><\/strong><\/a> in November 2012, held by Horror Hound<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. Jamie’s appearance at that convention raised over $150,000 for The Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. and John<\/em> also gave a shout out to the excellent book, “On set with John Carpenter<\/em><\/a><\/strong>” by Kim Gottlieb-Walker, <\/em>which includes amazing on set photos Kim<\/em> took during the making of “Halloween<\/em>“.<\/p>\n
