\"\"<\/a>On December 14, 2012, Sotheby\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> is auctioning the piano played in the Humphrey Bogart\/Ingrid Bergman<\/em>, film,\u00a0Casablanca<\/em>. The piano was played by actor, Dooley Wilson<\/em>, as Sam<\/em>, in the Paris flashback scene. While Sam<\/em> sings \u201cAs Time Goes By<\/em>,\u201d Rick<\/em> (Bogart<\/em>) and Ilsa<\/em> (Bergman<\/em>) lean on the piano and drink champagne.\u00a0During this scene Bogart<\/em> says the famous line: \u201cHere\u2019s lookin\u2019 at you, kid<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

The piano is not part of an auction collection per se, and is being listed on Sotheby’s <\/em>website as follows: Sale<\/span>:<\/strong> N08877, Session<\/span>: <\/strong>14 Dec 2012 11:30 AM, Lo<\/strong>t<\/strong><\/span> 1<\/p>\n

According to Sotheby’s<\/em>, the piano is estimated to sell between $800,000-$1,200,000.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that there is another original “Casablanca”<\/em><\/strong> piano that is on display at the Warner Brothers<\/em><\/strong> museum in Los Angeles, CA<\/em>. That piano is privately owned and on loan to Warner Brothers<\/em>.<\/p>\n
