The Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday auction event is a series of three different auctions consisting of “The Dreier Collection Part 1<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/em>“, being held Saturday, July 28th, the “Animation Auction<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/em>“, Sunday, July 29th, & their Hollywood “Treasure from the Vault<\/span><\/a>s<\/em><\/strong><\/span>“, two day auction, on Monday, July 30th, and Tuesday, July 31st.<\/p>\n

Profiles<\/em> will also have a huge display featuring many of the amazing auction items from the upcoming four day event at San Diego’s Comic Con<\/em><\/strong><\/a> from July 12-15th at booths #1605, 1607, 1704, 1706<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/span>. Movie Prop Collectors will be there for readers with videos, photos, and more.<\/p>\n

LOS ANGELES- JULY 2, 2012<\/span>– Profiles in History, run by Joe Maddalena, is proud to announce the clashing of heroes and villains at the upcoming Treasures from the Hollywood Vaults auction in July. The items below are from the esteemed Dreier Collection and will be auctioned off on July 28th in Los Angeles.\u00a0\"\"The Animation Auction will be July 29th and the Treasures from the Hollywood Vaults auction has been moved to July 30th and July 31st.<\/p>\n

The first iconic hero costume is Michael Keaton’s complete \u201cBatman\u201d costume from\u00a0Batman Returns<\/em>. This impressive costume includes the original \u201carmored\u201d rubber bodysuit, boots, gauntlet gloves with serrated \u201cfins,\u201d rubberized cape, and of course the iconic \u201cBatman\u201d cowl. The entire costume is mounted on a custom display with a life cast of Michael Keaton and stands over six feet tall. This is a rare costume from this film, which is now considered a classic in the superhero genre. It is expected to fetch $30,000 – $50,000.<\/p>\n

While not from the same film but still a villain of Batman, a signature Jim Carrey \u201cRiddler\u201d question mark costume from\u00a0Batman Forever<\/em>. The costume includes the green bowler hat with a large question mark motif on front. The costume is completed by the Riddler\u2019s signature gold 38 in. cane with a rubber question mark handle. This highly identifiable character ensemble is an important landmark in the Riddler\u2019s modern incarnation. It is expected to fetch $20,000 – $30,000.<\/p>\n

The Peter Mayhew original \u201cChewbacca\u201d head from\u00a0Star Wars<\/em>\u00a0is the finest full costume headpiece of Chewbacca from the original trilogy in private hands. It consists of a screen-used cowl hairpiece (which encompasses the entire head) and a period-made Stuart Freeborn facial appliance. Included are signed photographs by Stuart Freeborn and Peter Mayhew. It is expected to fetch $60,000 – $80,000.<\/p>\n

From\u00a0X-Men,\u00a0<\/em>a signature \u201cWolverine\u201d black leather battlesuit. The familiar fine black leather jumpsuit is subtly adorned with metallic copper and yellow-colored trimmings. The\u00a0X-Men<\/em>\u00a0first don their combat suits to battle Magneto and the Brotherhood in the final Statue of Liberty sequence. It comes with a 20th Century Fox certificate of authenticity. It is expected to fetch $30,000 – $50,000. From\u00a0X2: X-Men United,<\/em>\u00a0are Hugh Jackman’s \u201cWolverine\u201d hero claws. It is the only hero set released by the studio. The claws, when worn, give the illusion that they are razor sharp blades protruding from the tops of the wearer\u2019s hands by virtue of an angled handle that rests flush against the upper palm of the hand. The claws come with peerless provenance and paperwork and are expected to fetch $20,000 – $30,000.

\nA worthy adversary for the Wolverine items is a signature Ian McKellen \u201cMagneto\u201d costume also from\u00a0X-Men<\/em>. The costume consists of a gray custom jacket with integral red-lined cape, matching gray pants, (2) fiberglass two-piece helmets, one of which is the hero helmet. The costume includes a 20th Century-Fox certificate of authenticity. It is expected to fetch $20,000 – $30,000.<\/p>\n

Other heroes and villains include, a complete Cylon costume from\u00a0Battlestar Galactica<\/em>, $40,000 \u2013 $60,000; Russell Crowe \u201cMaximus\u201d iconic chest armor from\u00a0Gladiator<\/em>, $15,000 \u2013 $20,000; a Complete hero Spartan soldier costume and shield from\u00a0300\u00a0<\/em>,$8,000 \u2013 $12,000; A complete Stormtrooper tour costume from\u00a0Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope<\/em>, $6,000 – $8,000; Angelina Jolie \u201cLara Croft\u201d jacket from\u00a0Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life<\/em>,\u00a0 $2,000 \u2013 $3,000; Patrick Stewart \u201cJean Luc Picard\u201d season one Starfleet uniform from\u00a0Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/em>, $6,000- $8,000; Jean Luc Picard\u2019s \u201cEnterprise-E\u201d command chair from the\u00a0Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/em>\u00a0films, including\u00a0First Contact<\/em>,\u00a0Insurrection<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Nemesis<\/em>, $20,000 – $30,000.<\/p>\n
