Profiles in History charity auction raises almost $700,000 !

I just got back to my hotel from Profiles in History’s charity Hollywood Auction #42 at Universal Studios in Hollywood, and had an exciting time.

The auction raised almost $700,000 with only 150 lots!

The event was in Universals Globe Theater and was packed full of collectors, fans, and a few celebrities including actor Jeff Conaway, Back to the Future writer Bob Gale, and others.

Most of the lots sold, and bidders not only found some great items, their bids benefited the charitiesMichael J Fox’s Team Fox for Parkinsons Research , and VARIETY-The Children’s Charity of Southern California.

Profiles had a red carpet set up with refreshments along with both auction cars, the replica Back to the Future Delorean and the K.I.T.T car from Knight Rider, as well as many of the props, costumes, and items featured in the auction.

As always auctioneer, Stacey Roman did a great job.
