Julien’s Hollywood & Marilyn Monroe auction totals $1.47 million

 

 

Julien’s Auctions December 1st & 2nd “Icons and Idols” “Hollywood and Marilyn Monroe” auction made $1.472,268.10 from 811 lots sold with buyers premium added. According to Julien’s web site, the buyers premium varies depending on method of bidding and amount hammered.

From Julien’s web site:

20% Buyer’s Premium will be added to the hammer price on individual lots $50,000 and higher, and a 25% Buyer’s Premium on all individual lots of $0 – $49,999 . In addition, there will be an additional 3% buyer’s premium charged for any lots won online. So for items purchased online and costing under $50,000, 28% will be added to the hammer (selling) price.

Lot #518: Elizabeth Taylor 1973 Golden Globe Award: $43,520 with BP included.

Lot#524: Steve McQueen Le Mans Gulf Oil Jacket: $44,800 with BP included.

Lot#649: Marilyn Monroe Joseph Jasgur Negative and Copyrite: $21,874 with BP included.

Lot#762: Early Marilyn Monroe Early Signed Photograph: 28,800 with BP included.

Lot#765: Marilyn Monroe/Norma Jean Handwritten Leteer: $37,500 with BP included.

Lot#784 Marilyn Monroe Screen Worn Costume (from The River of No Return): $79,950 with BP included.
