On Thursday, May 13th, I had the privilege to be invited to the press reception for the Fantastical World's of Ray Harryhausen, held at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences located in Beverly Hills, California. Here is an exclusive peak at Profiles in History back cover of their Hollywood Auction #40 catalog. The auction is being held June 10th, 11th, and 12th in Calabasas, California. Lot # 805: The Witches hat from MGM's iconic 1939 film, The Wizard of Oz. This hat was used by actress Margaret Hamilton, in her role as the Wicked Witch of the West, for the majority of the film. Exclusive info! Premier auction house, Profiles in History, has just shared some special news with Movie Prop Collectors about their Hollywood Auction #40 being held June 10, 11, and 12, 2010.
