Bonhams and Turner Classic Movies, "What Dreams Are Made Of: A Century of Movie Magic at Auction as Curated by TCM Hollywood auction was held in New York on November 25th, 2013. According to a Bonhams press release the auction totaled (including BP), close to $6 million dollars. Blacksparrow Auctions wrapped up their "The Hunger Games Costume Auction" hours ago and the 225 lot auction totaled an impressive $775,000. There was a 100% lot sold rate and many lots sold at multiple times the auction estimates or starting bids. The average per lot price was $3400. Blacksparrow Auctions, "Hunger Games Costume Auction", is going on as I type this and the prices for the Jennifer Lawrence as "Katniss Everdeen", as well as other main character costumes are realizing astronomical prices.
