AndrewsPoppinsMary Poppins original screen used bag, used by Julie Andrews in the 1964 Walt Disney film, “Mary Poppins”, was auctioned in 2010 for $95,000 (over $110,00o with buyers premium added) by well known auction house, Profiles in History as part of their Hollywood Auction 40.

The bag, lot #864, came from a family who were part of a segment of the SyFy channel show, Hollywood Treasure, hosted Profiles in History’s CEO and President, Joe Maddalena.

The family explained to Joe that the bag was the grand prize of some contest from the 1960’s. No further information was available at the time as to the details of the contest.

Entertainment Minute has discovered what is possibly the missing link to this mystery with photograph of the ad for the contest from 1964.
