Ray Bradbury, Author of ‘Fahrenheit 451,’ more, dies at age 91.

 

Prolific award winning author, Ray Bradbury, has died at the age of 91 in California. Mr. Bradbury’s daughter, Alexandra Bradbury, told the AP Press that her father passed away last night, Tuesday, June 5th.

Ray Bradbury was, and will always be, known for his vast contributions in the world of storytelling. His books  “Fahrenheit 451,” “The Martian Chronicles” and “Something Wicked This Way Comes,” are known and revered worldwide.

Many of Bradbury’s novels and short stories were adapted for television and film, including “Fahrenheit 451,“( Francois Truffaut wrote & directed the film version in 1966), “The Martian Chronicles“,”Alfred Hitchcock Presents“, “The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms“, “The Twilight Zone“, “The Ray Bradbury Theater“, and many others.

In addition to writing novels and short stories, Bradbury penned plays, screen~plays, and poetry.

As sure as he will be missed, Ray Bradbury will most certainly be remembered for his insight into the future, mankind, and the human condition.
