Tonight, Van Eaton Galleries, located at 13613 Ventura Blvd Sherman Oaks, CA , hosted a preview reception for day one auction items featured in Profiles in History’s Hollywood Auction 44.

Being held May 14th and15th at the Saban Theatre 8440 Wilshire Blvd in Beverly Hills, C.A, the auction is generating quite a bit of press on the once in a lifetime opportunity for the public to acquire original props, costumes, artwork, and ephemera including the original Gen 11 motor car from the Ian Flemming classic film, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Stop Motion Puppets from Willis O’Brien, items from The Wizard of Oz, Mighty Joe Young, Marilyn Monroe, The Ten Commandments, The Black, Hole, Aliens, the original Tron, and many other original one of a kind items from different film genres, including classic, horror, sci fi, comedy, musicals, and more .

This auction has one of the largest selections of rare and never before offered Disney items including an unprecedented collection of rare animation cels from Disney and other studio films. Collectors can also find original Disney park ride cars, art, maquettes, and even a  never before offered Abraham Lincoln silicone head from the Lincoln Animatronic President in the Hall of Presidents.

Gabe Copp was kind enough to share his photos and information about the event which is just starting to wind down after the attendance of a standing room only crowd.

As always the preview is free, and open to the public until May 13th. Viewing hours are 10-6pm, Tuesday thru Saturday and closed Sunday and Monday.

Enjoy the photos !
