The last item pictured, the original disco ball from the 1977 John Travolta film, Saturday Night Fever, is interesting to me.

Many years ago, I purchased what was listed as the original disco ball from the same John Travolta film from a Mr. Lee Faris on Ebay. The C. O. A. for this item was from L. A. Prop Supply, now known as HollyWood Prop Supply. It was signed by a Mr. John Tartar.

I am getting together all of the information to feature here on the forum in the future concerning this purchase.

Rest assured the disco ball at Julien's has authentic provenance with it.

I recently spoke with Darren Julien, from Julien's Auctions, and he told me that the prop is from the prop master who worked on the film who kept it since the film wrapped production.

The June 22nd sale features animation art.

The "Wonderful World of Animation" sale of animation art consists of more than 250 lots at no reserve presented by Julien's Auctions. Featuring cherished images from major studios and rare original concept paintings from many of the masters of animation art. The live auction will be televised by Auction Network where bidders from around the world can view the auction live and participate against other bidders in the room, by phone and online.
