THE WARRIORS Rembrandt (Marcelino Sanchez) Warriors vest
This tan pleather vest with brown trim was worn by character Rembrandt portrayed by actor Marcelino Sanchez in the 1979 cult motion picture THE WARRIORS. This vest was one of several acquired directly from Paramount Pictures Wardrobe Department and is in excellent hand distressed condition as seen in the film. The name PLATO (Rembrandt's original character name in the script) is handwritten in the interior of the garment. The original patches were removed from the vest for use in a subsequent production, but the vest has been restored with distressed custom made replica patches that were created by the same embroidery company that produced the patches for the 1979 film and were reproduced directly from the original tracing designed by Bobbie Mannix (the costume designer on the film). An identical Warriors vest sold at Profiles In History auction for $15,000.00 in 2006. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the costume house. Price: $12000.00
